Fun Things To Do This Weekend: Try Something New

What are we doing this weekend? We are very busy during the week that then arrives on Friday evening and we ask ourselves: what to do on the weekend? The risk, well known, is that laziness and inertia have overcome it and that we end up doing nothing of what we had promised ourselves. Accept it: this weekend is not yet the one where you will fix the washing machine, or where you will finally go and buy the new closet for the bedroom. We know it and you know it: you will stay on the sofa and regret not having organized something. We might as well leave the house and relax a bit. There are many ways to have a great weekend without necessarily breaking down your life savings, or wasting time in endless logistics organizations.

Saturday is family day for many people. Either we have a ton of things to do or we have nothing to do at all. For those days when we don’t have anything planned, it helps to have some ideas so that we can enjoy some time together with family or even alone.

Your Saturday may be similar. If so, I’ve got you covered. I’ve created a list of family activities you can do on Saturday, Sunday, or any other day of the week. This list is especially handy for days when you don’t have anything planned, and don’t know what to do. Just pick something from the list and enjoy it all together! All activities are intended for all family members, young and old!

Fun things you can do this weekend

Another weekend is approaching and in the city there is no shortage of opportunities for free time, to relax a bit and shake off the stress of the working week. Among theatrical performances, fairs and exhibitions, the choice is vast and varied, however it is advisable to sum up and focus on the most interesting events.

Take a flight to an unknown location

Once upon a time you would point your finger at random at the atlas, or you would spin the globe and stop it at any point… Today you can go wherever you want and you know that traveling has many benefits on your health and life itself. The destinations served by low cost airlines in Europe are many, and not all of them are well-known or trendy. But, more often than not, it is precisely the most unknown ones that guarantee the best rates. What better idea for a weekend, then, than to randomly point to an airport and leave!

Relax at the spa

When people die of heat in the city, there is nothing better than a visit to the thermal baths. On the contrary, on the coldest weekends, save two days of heating by going to winter in one of the countless spas of the peninsula (and beyond)! From the most avant-garde wellness centers to historic spas, good for a Turkish bath and perhaps a nice walk in the historic center, the choice is not lacking.

Read all night

It’s not just going out with friends that is synonymous with sleepless nights. Alone, when we want, we dive into our bed and into a novel, we do not watch the time and we let ourselves get carried away. The advantages of reading are many and for that reason you have to start reading as much as you can.

Discover the recipes of an exotic cuisine

Okay, you can’t afford a ticket to Thailand or Japan, and a weekend is too little to get to and from China. Why not treat yourself to an ethnic evening at home? In every big city (and now many small ones), restaurants serving cuisine from all over the world bloom like cherry trees in spring. If you listen to us, next weekend is the right one to arm yourself with chopsticks and try that oriental place your colleague talked about: it is useless to postpone further. Buy yourself a map and, like good travelers, explore the planet one plate at a time, erasing one country after another… The sooner you start, the sooner you can start the tour again!

Relax in nature on a farm

Without having to go too far from home, the countryside offers a great selection of farmhouses where you can spend a weekend in peace in nature, without the anxiety of having to make the most of your time but adapting to slower rhythms usually they are content to taste the best of local cuisine, and limit their movements to the path from the room to the table. But the possibilities are many more, from walks in nature horseback riding, up to the visit of vineyards and small local museums. A weekend on a farm is also ideal for children of all ages.

Things to do when you’re bored

You have been awake for two hours and your only certainty this morning is that you are bored firmly and that the day may be long? Don’t get depressed right away.

Watch a series or a movie

This is the most obvious and the easiest solution when you are bored. And at the same time, what could be better than posing in your pajamas in front of a movie or a new series. Television channels and streaming platforms have understood this well and offer programs for all audiences.

Sort through your Facebook contacts

10 years ago when you joined Facebook, you added all your old classmates (even the ones you didn’t like), people you ran into once in the evening (when you had a little kick in the nose ), etc. Result: 786 friends on the clock. Is it necessary? Especially since today, you hardly interact with a large part of them. Worse, you’re tired of seeing their vacation photos and reading their lamentations: well, it’s time to sort through your Facebook contacts.

Go to a concert or the theater solo

If going to the cinema alone is the norm, some people cannot overcome the barrier of concerts alone. But there you go, you’re bored and you know that none of your loved ones are interested in this grindcore gig happening near you tonight: why not go alone? The same goes for the theater or the museum.

Wake up the beauty in you

Have you always dreamed of mastering the eyeliner line of Sasha Velor from the show RuPaul’s Drag Race? Take advantage of a day when you have nothing planned to try your hand at makeup using a YouTube tutorial.

Get a head start on Christmas and birthday gifts

If you tend to go about it on Christmas Eve by running aimlessly through stores, among people doing their last Christmas shopping: take those boring moments as a blessing and make a list of the things that will do would appeal to family members, friends, partner or child.

Sort your clothes

You have to face the facts: that pair of ugly chunky sneakers you bought because it was trendy, you’ll never wear it again. No more than that sweater that you won’t fit in. Sorting through your clothes will free up space in your closets and you will do a good thing by bringing back everything you will no longer wear (or what you have bought). on a whim and that you have never worn) to an association.

Go on an adventure

If you have time in front of you, finally visit the country that has made you dream since you were little. If you only have one day to do nothing, adventure awaits you at the end of your neighborhood, town. You think you know your city, but we can bet that you will discover a new corner of greenery or a nice little café.

Cleaning up

You’ve been promising yourself to clean your apartment for several days, but you’ve been caught up in work, going out and sleeping. Well, take advantage of your dull moment to get rid of this dusty sheep, soon as big as your cat. In addition, you will certainly find your favorite socks lost for three weeks, behind your sofa.

Become a volunteer

Do you have time on your hands and a mad desire to help your neighbor? Why not do volunteer work with associations that come to the aid of the most vulnerable, defending the planet or helping the youngest with their homework.

Listen to a podcast

Podcasts are all the rage and that’s to be expected, they allow you to tackle a whole bunch of topics, as well as adopt various forms of storytelling. And even NEON launched his: it’s called Me too, and every two months we bring together three people concerned by the same experience. They are fat, naturist, hypersensitive, adopted… and they tell us about their unique but common experience over a drink.

Sort your vacation photos

You are the type to take 5,000 photos on vacation and the same statue three times each time, take advantage of your time to sort out your photos. In addition to falling back on some cool moments during your trip with friends, you will make room for your phone and your camera.

Pass your license

It’s not your fault, you grew up in a city where it was very easy to get around by public transport, the price of the driving school was way too expensive and / or you were just afraid to take the steering wheel. It is almost never too late to learn the rules of the road and to drive a car.

Play sports

Take your best sneakers, your jogging pants (which you recycled as pajamas) and go for a run in a park. The plus: it seems that moving makes you happy. If running or rowing isn’t for you, walking your dog (and yourself) is also a good way to exercise.

Learn to make love

Touching a vagina or a penis can be learned in workshops. What could be better than taking advantage of your free time to become an expert in jouissance and in addition, you will also learn to deconstruct gender stereotypes.
