Rihanna is on the rise. She was named the richest singer in the world by the American magazine “Forbes” last week and has successfully combined her career as an artist and entrepreneur. Asked Monday, June 10 by actress Sarah Paulson in the columns of the magazine “Interview”, the Barbadian star made confidences about her professional and private life.
According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), Rihanna is the artist who has the largest number of certifications of singles. She is also the first artist in the world to cross the 100 million digital sales milestone in the United States.
Rihanna has a total of eight studio albums and two remix albums. Her first album, Music of the Sun (2005), is dancehall, reggae and pop oriented, and her second album, A Girl like Me (2006), is more influenced by RnB.

Childhood
Robyn Rihanna Fenty was born on February 20, 1988, in Saint Michael, a parish in Barbados. Both her parents are of Afro-Caribbean descent: Monica Braithwaite, her mother, is a former Afro- Guyanese accountant, and her father Ronald Fenty, a former warehouse keeper who became a shop owner, is of Barbadian and Irish descent. There are two collaborations on this record, Calvin Harris on We Found Love and Jay-Z on the track Talk That Talk. On September 22, 2011, with the track Cheers (Drink to That) barely released as the sixth single from the album Loud, Rihanna released We Found Love, the debut single from Talk That Talk. This title, resolutely Electro, is produced by Calvin Harris, who notably worked with Kylie Minogue. The song was a hit across the world, becoming Rihanna’s eleventh number 1 by remaining at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for 14 weeks. Assault by Chris Brown
On February 8, 2009, shortly after midnight, an argument between Rihanna and Chris Brown erupts and escalates aboard a rented Lamborghini as they are expected for the 2009 Grammy Awards. In the altercation, Chris Brown hits Rihanna, causing her serious facial injuries. The singer takes flight.
At around 7 p.m., Chris Brown surrendered to the Los Angeles Police Department, and was immediately taken into custody.
